Entrance Assessment Day – Year 7-9

Years 7, 8, 9 Entrance Assessment

Saturday 25th January 2025, 8.30am – 12.30pm

The Entrance Assessment Day is for pupils looking to join Tettenhall College in Year 7, 8 or 9 in September 2025. The Entrance Assessment will take place on Saturday 25th January and on this day pupils will spend a full morning with us at the school.

In groups they will complete the following:

• The formal Entrance Assessment. This is done in the computer rooms and is an assessment delivered by Cambridge CEM (Centre for Evaluation and Monitoring). The assessments cover literacy, numeracy and non-verbal reasoning.
• A handwritten creative writing task.
• A carousel of activities that have been carefully designed to allow us to assess teamwork, listening to instructions, and how children approach new challenges.

For assessments for a Sport, Art, Music or Performing Arts Scholarship Award pupils will be invited to attend an appointment in the week prior to, or immediately after the Entrance Assessment.

If you are applying from overseas, please speak to the Admissions team and we will be pleased to make arrangements for the Entrance Assessment to be completed in your home country.
