On Saturday 15th June, pupils from Year 6 (Preparatory School) competed in the English Schools Swimming Association national finals which were held in the olympic sized pool at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.

The standard of this national competition is exceptionally high, with many heats having taken place for teams to qualify for the final. The team made up of Harvey W- H, Harry M-W, Henry D and Ethan P participated in both the medley and freestyle relays within the Small Schools category.

Demonstrating outstanding skill and teamwork, the boys delivered an exceptional performance in the medley relay, earning a spot in the B final and finishing 15th overall in the country. In the freestyle relay, they narrowly missed the B final by a ‘fingertip,’ finishing a close 17th.

Harvey W-H was named Swimmer of the Meet for his impressive first-leg swims in both races. It was a fantastic day of elite swimming and an unforgettable experience for the Tettenhall College team. A big thank you to Mrs Bate for all her fantastic work with the Tettenhall College swim academies across all age groups at the school.
