Year 7 Tettenhall College pupil Harry M-W is carving a name for himself in the world of motorsport, with a series of remarkable achievements in both indoor and outdoor karting.
Starting his competitive journey in 2023, with indoor karting at TeamSport Birmingham, Harry quickly showcased his talent by securing 2nd place in the local final of the British Indoor Karting Championships.
In 2024, he transitioned to outdoor karting and has since competed in the following:
- Daniel Ricciardo Series (DRS): Harry competed in all eight rounds of the series which included practice rounds, qualifying rounds, heats, pre-final and final. His standout performance in rounds 2 and 6 saw him take 1st and 2nd place podium finishes and he was awarded the ‘Driver of the Day’ award in the final round.
- Club100 Super Lightweight: Harry showcased his skill by racing in the final five rounds of this highly competitive series.
- Warden Law: a stellar performance in his first season of outdoor karting, Harry landed P5 in the A Final – an amazing achievement for a newcomer.
- Buckmore Park: Harry achieved P3 ion the B Final, narrowly missing out on making the A final for the second time.
- Hereford Raceway Winter Championship Rd2: Harry secured P4 and the ‘Top Novice’ title.
Harry’s achievements have taken him across the country. His dedication and passion for racing has set him on a path for continued success.
Looking ahead to 2025, Harry aims to take the next step by competing as an owner-driver within a professional racing team. His dedication and natural talent have positioned him as a young driver to watch in the coming years.
Harry’s parents are proud supporters and are thrilled with his progress. “We’re incredibly proud of what Harry has accomplished in such a short time,” they said. “We are always very nervous watching him, but it’s so exciting to see his passion and hard work paying off.”
