We, as a school, would like to thank all of our staff, who have made our key worker provision, digital learning, online end of year exams and academic mentoring possible throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
Throughout it all, Tettenhall College has remained open. Our Study Centre, staffed by our dedicated teachers, provided a safe and shielded environment for the children of our key worker families to continue seamlessly with their studies. Having already successfully welcomed back our Nursery, Pre-School, Year 1 and Year 6 pupils, we look forward to the return of our Year 2, Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 learners next week.
Pupils across the Preparatory School and Senior School have enjoyed their live and interactive lessons provided digitally by our teachers. A mention must go to our IT staff who have worked tirelessly, for the last 3 months. They have dealt with all issues swiftly and smoothly and we are thankful for their efforts.
Life at Tettenhall College has evolved simultaneously with the government guidelines. Our site is now fully equipped with hand sanitiser stations, social distancing stations and temperate checks at Preparatory and Senior School reception areas. We have also adopted the Boarding Schools Association Covid-Safe Charter, to demonstrate the College’s commitment to the safety and well-being of all members of our community.
Our Year 10 and 12 academic mentoring sessions now take place on site with our Year 12s meeting the Head of Sixth Form, for one-to-one progress checks and to discuss targets for the next academic year.
Each of us is experiencing this pandemic, this world-wide upheaval, in different ways. So please know, that the community that is TC is with you, to support you and to stand by you as we come through this together. 2020-21 will be a wonderful year for Tettenhall College. But the year of 2019-20 will be known as the year that the school stood up, stood strong and faced an invisible enemy with unity and hope.
