On Friday 23rd November, a number of our rugby-playing pupils got the opportunity to go to a match day experience and coaching clinic at Worcester Warriors Rugby Club’s Sixways Stadium.
The pupils were treated to a behind the scenes tour, during which they got to look at where and how professional rugby players train, the inner workings of the stadium and what preparations are needed on a match day.
Following the tour, they got to spend 75 minutes on the pitch, undergoing a coaching masterclass with one of the Warriors’ academy coaches. Getting to spend time on a stadium pitch and receiving advice from a professional coach will be valuable experiences for all of the pupils involved.
The experience was concluded with the pupils watching Worcester Warriors, who were clearly inspired by our pupils, beat Harlequins 20-13 in the Premiership.
