Today is National Offer day across the country and pupils and parents across the region will find out if they have gained a place at the state school of their choice.
There are many great state schools in our area, indeed some of the best in the country, and competition for places can be tough; inevitably some children are going to miss out.
For those who find themselves in this situation, it is not too late to consider a place at an independent school. At Tettenhall College, we often get approached at this time of the year by parents who are seeking a Year 7 place for September. Prospective pupils will still need to sit an entrance exam for Tettenhall College, but this can be readily arranged and we make this as worry-free as possible for you and your child.
For those thinking of an education at an independent school for the first time, we appreciate that this can be a big decision. Yet you may be surprised to know that a little over 60% of our current Year 7 intake came from state primary schools. Our Open Morning on Wednesday 7th March is a great opportunity to explore the independent school option and see how we can help. Our fees may be more affordable than you think and scholarships and bursaries are available to help those families that need a little extra support. With outstanding results, small class sizes and an extensive extra-curricular programme, it is a decision that can really help your child fulfil their potential and equip them for life ahead.
With new bus routes starting in September we are also much more accessible than before, so please do get in touch, a warm welcome awaits and we’d love to hear from you!
