Forest

Forest School

Tettenhall College is uniquely positioned within acres of ancient woodland – the perfect place for children to explore and learn in innovative ways outside of the classroom.

Our spectacular woodland is used by all pupils and their Forest School activities are a much-loved part of the week. Children are stimulated by the great outdoors and the physical, intellectual and emotional benefits are far-reaching.

Forest Schooling is an inspirational process, that offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in the great outdoors. It is a specialised learning approach that sits within and compliments the wider curriculum, with a special focus on the health and well-being of our pupils. It also reflects how a deeper understanding of our connection to nature has become so much more important in the 21st century.
