Tettenhall College is delighted to announce the first piano recital of the school year, showcasing Trinity College of Music student, Alexander Arenare.
A local music talent, Arenare returns to the region on November 16th to perform at Tettenhall College to pupils, families and visitors on the Broadwood piano generously donated this year by the Parents’ Association. The recital will take place in the Towers Theatre. Alexander’s programme will include pieces by Beethoven, JS Bach, Chopin and Granados.
Born in 1998, Alexander Mario Arenare first began learning piano at the age of five, studying with a variety of tutors across the Dudley area. Most notably Alexander studied with Dorothy Randles, preparing him for conservatoire. Under her tutorage, Alexander was awarded the Fred Southall prize, placed runner-up in the Sonata class at the Birmingham Piano Festival and achieved the letter-bearing DipABRSM performance diploma.
Currently a student at Trinity College of Music, Alexander studies under Hilary Coates where together they are exploring a varied repertoire and are preparing for the London competition circuit 2019. Prior to studying with Hilary Coates, Alexander studied under Italian pianist Sergio De Simone, exposing him to the Italian school of piano that has largely influenced Alexander’s approach to piano performance. Alexander often works with vocalists resulting in him accompanying for the Cathleen Ferrier competition 2017. Alongside weekday study, at weekends he teaches piano at his home in Sedgley. He aspires to a career in pedagogy and is now exploring academic pathways into furthering his education.
The Recital will commence at 7pm and conclude at approximately 8.15pm with a 20minute interval during which light refreshments will be served.
