For confirmation of our success as a school, you need look no further than our latest inspection. It highlighted the excellent personal development of pupils, caring staff and successful learning.
The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) was particularly impressed with the outstanding relationships between staff and pupils, which ties in with our aim to create a close-knit community atmosphere. This was reflected in the ISI report, which revealed many children likened Tettenhall College to a family whose members mutually cared for one another, highlighting our ‘inclusive atmosphere’.
Achievements beyond the classroom include individual excellence, particularly in sport and in musical theatre, and pupils participate enthusiastically in opportunities offered to them. ISI Report 2014
Achievement and development of pupils from EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) to Year 13 was praised and education for younger children was once again judged as outstanding, with good preparation for senior school.
Inspectors were impressed with teaching methods, saying the best examples of lessons were ‘pacey, taught in a lively fashion and encourage independence’.
The report stated: “In accordance with the school’s aims, the pupils develop in confidence and flourish so that, by the time they leave the school, they have developed the self-belief that will equip them for life.” The spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of the pupils was also said to be excellent.
Overall, the report reflected the ethos of Tettenhall College, confirming that we have created a happy environment where pupils grow and thrive.
